SUMMARY:Trail Work Day - Jedi Trail July 19
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars: Southern Oregon Trail Alliance is hosting a camping and trail work party Saturday\, July 19th\, on the Jedi Trail in Briggs Valley\, west of Grants Pass. We will be brushing some of the overgrown sections of this beautiful trail. \nWe will also be camping at Sam Brown Campground on Friday night\, July 18th! Please join us for either or both! \nThis is a great opportunity to join us on a trail work project on one of the most popular and long-standing trails in our area! This is also the first time we’ve done a campout and are excited to add camping to the trail work day experience. SOTA board volunteers will be setting up camp Friday night at Sam Brown\, and we’ll probably go for a dip in the creek after working on the trail Saturday. \nAs a thanks for helping\, we will provide snacks and cold drinks at the trailhead/campground afterwards. If you are camping\, please plan your own evening/morning meals. \nDetails\n\nWhen: 8:00am – 2:00pm\, Saturday\, July 19th\nFocus on brushing; think loppers\, hand saws\, hedge-trimmers\, etc\nLocation and checklist of items to bring will be shared in RSVP email\nThis will be a hike-in work day with work starting close to the lower trailhead\n\nRSVP\nDue to the remote location with little cell service\, we need to know how many people plan to join us on this trail work day so that we can plan accordingly. We are excited to see you\, so please RSVP to let us know if you are planning to attend! \nAfter you RSVP\, we will share specifics about the meet-up location\, the plan for the day\, and discuss options for tools whether you plan to bring your own or would like to borrow tools.
